Al-Dabbagh announces Council of Ministers Decisions /6th Emergency Session

6^th Emergency Session


1. The Council of Ministers discusses the draft Federal Budget of Iraq for the year 2009 worth approximately of 79 billion U.S. dollars.

2. The approval of the purchase price of dates from Iraqi farmers at 400 thousand dinars per ton.

3. The approval to increase the limit of the authority granted to the Ministry of Transport to 50 million dollars instead of 30 million dollars.

4. The approval to allot the purchasing tender of railway steel to a German company with a total of approximately 38 million Euros in an exception from current instructions and regulations, in addition to increasing the allocations to cover the amount.

5. The approval to merge The General Delegations Transportation Company with the General Passengers Transportation Company. This is due to the two companies practicing similar activities forming a company under the title of The General Passengers and Delegations Transportation Company in order to take the necessary actions of integration by the Ministry of Transportation according to articles 23 and 33 of The General Companies Law.
